Privacy Policy

Nordic Hill LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates TagSense, a web and mobile application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and a hashed password when you register.
- Photos: images you upload of items in your collections. These are stored on our servers and sent to our AI provider for identification.
- Item data: names, descriptions, notes, categories, and other metadata you or our AI adds to items.
- Billing information: if you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe holds it under their own privacy policy.
- Usage data: basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps, errors). We do not use third-party analytics.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the TagSense service.
- To send photos to our AI provider for automatic item identification and search indexing.
- To process subscription payments through Stripe.
- To send you transactional emails (e.g. password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- To diagnose and fix technical issues using server logs.
Third-party services
We share data with the following third parties only to the extent needed to operate the service:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy.
- AI providers — your photos and item text are sent to an AI service for identification and embedding. No personal identifiers are included with these requests.
- Fly.io — cloud infrastructure where your data is stored and processed.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@tagsense.io. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
TagSense is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
